Anita Sternberg Liebowitz Obituary

We announce the death of Anita Sternberg Liebowitz (Bethesda, Maryland), born in Manhattan, New York, who passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 102. Anita will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Louis Sternberg and Henriette Sternberg. She is survived by: her spouse Dr. Hirsch Robert Liebowitz; her daughters, Merrie Liebowitz Behar (Edward), Janice Liebowitz (Andy Schoenholtz) and Robin Liebowitz; her grandsons, Ari Schoenholtz (Mollie Lam), David Schoenholtz and Noah Schoenholtz; and her great grandchildren, Eliza and Teddy.
