With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Teresa Sorensen (Bethesda, Maryland), who passed away on January 7, 2026 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Frances has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her husband David Sorensen; and her parents, Thomas Walsh and Mildred Walsh. She is survived by: her children, David, Erik Sorensen, Michael and Mary Jane. She is also survived by her fourteen siblings, fifteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church (6902 River Rd, Bethesda, MD 20817). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
