She was predeceased by: her significant other James Robert Owens; her parents, James O'Keeffe and Irene Bennett O'Keeffe; and her brothers, James and Richard O'Keeffe.
She is survived by: her sister Kathleen Dorgan; and her children, James (Amy), Kathleen, Dan (Jenni), Michael (Alison), Brendan (Brenda) and Kevin (Nancy). She is also survived by her 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robert A. Pumphrey Funeral Home (7557 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20814). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (4900 Strathmore Ave, Garrett Park, MD 20896). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (13801 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20906).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
