She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary "Mae" and Cecil "Bud". She is survived by: her husband Dan; her children, Jonathan (Melissa) and Sarah (Brandon); her grandchildren, Everett, Ryan and Avery; and her siblings, Arnold, Bert (Barb), Kathy and Marion (Eamon).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home (5130 Wisconsin Ave, Washington, DC 20016). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joanne's name to Save the Children or a charity of choice.
