She was predeceased by: her husband Robert L. Balsamo; and her siblings, Paul Cook and Phyllis Tattoro. She is survived by: her children, Susan Quinn (John) of Myrtle Beach, SC., Linda Brooks of Betterton, MD., Vickie Fletcher (Ron) of Catonsville, MD., Harold "Butch" Brooks, Jr. (Sherri) of Catonsville, MD., Kim Knight (Bob) of Westminster, MD., Robert M. Balsamo of Lyons, CO. and Richard M. Balsamo of Baltimore, MD.; and her siblings, Catherine, Charles and William Mellin.
