He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Jones and Helena Jones; his wife Frances Bier Jones; and his brother Raymond M. Jones. He is survived by : his children, Beverly Engbarth, Richard Jones Jr., Roberta Bowers and Daniel Jones. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
