He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Barney Meier and Shirley Meier; his wife Gina Meier; his children, David "Mitch" Buechner (Liora Robinson), Bekah Hutton (Josh Hutton), Stephen Meier and Nathaniel Meier (Kayden Wilson); his grandson Joshua Buechner; and his siblings, Lyle Meier (Cathy Meier) and Kelly Rhoads (Chip Rhoads).
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beall Funeral Home (6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD 20715). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 1st 2026 at 12:45 PM at the First Lutheran Church Cemetery (12710 Duckettown Rd, Laurel, MD 20708).
