It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brian Alan Shanks (Bowie, Maryland), who passed away on June 7, 2023, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Shanks and Barbara Shanks; and his wife Belinda Sue Shanks. He is survived by: his son Jacob; his daughter-in-law Caitlin Piper; his granddaughters, Paxton and Michaela; his brother Larry Shanks; and his son Christopher Piper (Caitlin).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Calvert County Parks and Recreation (CCPR) Therapeutic Recreation's Scholarship Fund (175 Main St. Prince Frederick, MD 20678).
