She is survived by: her sons, Douglas Sturgill of Bowie and Robert Sturgill (Linda) of Bowie; her granddaughter Alicia Sturgill; her great grandchildren, August, Axel Gaiser of Ashburn and Mikaela Smith of Ashburn, Virginia.; her spouse Carmi Quentin Sturgill; and also Matt Smith of Ashburn, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
