He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Dick, Evie Jones of Mifflintown, Clarence, Lois Frye, Elmer and Hazel Smith of Altoona; and his father-in-law Andrew "Sarge" Tate.

He is survived by: his parents, Melvin Frye and Sandra Frye (Smith); his spouse Syreeta (Tate); his sons, Daelyn, Elias and Kaiden of Bowie; his sister Michelle Fasolo (Dom) of Altoona; his mother-in-law Lue Tate; his extended family, Keturah Stroy (Lee), Zak Tate and Bryan Tate; and his nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Lindsey, Dominic of Altoona, Nesa, Damani, Laila, Maya and Nyla.
