We are sad to announce that, on January 20, 2023, at the age of 86, Hugh Tarpley Prickett Jr. (Bowie, Maryland), born in Verbena, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Tarpley and Mary Adeline Prickett (Litaker); and his brother Bill Prickett (Susan). He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Glidden Prickett; his children, Darlene Prickett, Rosanne Bangura (Serifo), Rosalyn Prickett and Robert Cook (Jill Savin); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Bangura, Leo Bangura, Molly Cook, Gunther Landmann, Victor Landmann (Melanie) and Heidi Landmann (Alex Strnad); his former wife Barbara Jo Cook; and his brother Jerry Prickett (Ruthie).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that gifts in Hugh's memory be directed to an organization for which he was a founding member and about which he was passionate, CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) International Memorial Fund.
