He was predeceased by : his parents, Irish and William Murray; his siblings, Catherine Hinckley (Cay), John and William (Bill); his grandson Cormac Murray (Mac); and his great grandchild Payton Nicole Brenner.

He is survived by : his wife Maureen Murray; and his sons, John, Michael and Brian (Aimee).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Chapel (16501 Annapolis Rd, Bowie, MD 20715). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) Foundation or the Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) Foundation in memory of James Peter Murray.
