We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2025, Jo Ann Hughes (Bowie, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Anthony Sylvester and Margaret Sylvester (King). She is survived by: her husband Marshall Hughes; her children, Vicki Lynn Peters (Bob) of Crofton, MD and Frederick Marshall Hughes (Robbi) of Chester, MD.; her sister Shirley (Sylvester) Levendoski (Dick); her nieces, Carol Miller (Steve) and Susan Myers; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Hughes (Kaitlyn), Joe Stocker, Justin Stocker, Lindsey Steele (Jason), Tyler Hughes, Sarah (Stocker) and Anthony Hughes (Jessica). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jo Ann's name to the Alzheimer's Association (https://www.alz.org) or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
