She was predeceased by: her father George F. Carter Jr.; and her siblings, Evelyn Henson and Gary Carter. She is survived by: her former husband Joe Thompson; her brothers, George F. Carter III and Perry Carter; her daughters, Christina Hinkle and Melissa Goodwin; and her grandchildren, Jamal Hinkle, Justice Hinkle and Malachi Goodwin. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
