He was predeceased by: his mother June H. Wright. He is survived by: his father Robert M. Latta, Sr.; his siblings, Robert M. Latta, Jr. and Dawn L. West; his children, Jasmine Latta, Richard D. Latta, II (Catherine), Taren Latta and Derek Lewis; and his granddaughter Sadayah Pinott. He is also survived by his family and friends.

The family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice to honor Richard's memory.
