He is survived by: his wife Norma Allenbach Schmidt; his father Svend Robert Schmidt Sr.; his siblings, Katrina Whaley and Keith Schmidt; and his sister-in-law Emily Schmidt. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
