He is survived by: his children, Joseph Michael Baden Sr. (Brenda Goldsmith) of Brandywine, David Matthew Baden Sr. (Rhonda) of Hughesville, Jennifer Leigh Marziani (Andy) of Waldorf and Cora Elizabeth Haines (Gary) of Edgewater; his grandchildren, Amanda VanHorn (Matt), Samantha Kirk (Gary), David Baden (Kylie), Meagan Jeffery (Michael), Joseph Baden (Samantha), A. J. Marziani (Cassie) and Richard Haines; his wife Mary Elaine; and his sister Mary Gertrude Dennis. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brinsfield Funeral Home & Crematory (30195 Three Notch Rd, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622). A prayer was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (17502 Horsehead Rd, Brandywine, MD 20613). A burial was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Resurection Cemetery (8000 Woodyard Rd, Clinton, MD 20735).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bernie's name to St. Michael's Catholic Church.
