He was predeceased by: his parents, John Morris Carroll and Mary Ellen Carroll; his siblings, Kenneth F. Carroll, Ralph E. Carroll and Gladys F. Johnson; his wife Estella Louise Owens; his child Thomas Harold, Jr.; and his grandson Harold Sumner Michael Sumner.
He is survived by: his daughters, Natalie, Nadine, Mary, Marie and Nicole; his grandchildren, Rashad Sumner (Tony), Angelica Carroll, Andrea Carroll, James Coleman, Jameela Carroll, Xavier Carroll, Thomas Carroll and Zawadi Carroll of Kenneth Carroll, III.; his great grandchildren, Tariq Sumner, Messiah Sumner, Naimah Sumner, Anthony Estes, Elijah Estes, Golden White and Shaun Carroll; and his great great grandchild Mecca Sumner. He is also survived by his coworkers and friends as a man who loved his family.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to WPFW 89.3 FM in Mr. Carroll's name.
