He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Strominger and Mary Strominger; and his siblings, Chuck, Jack, Pat and Penny Govert.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his sons, Sean (Shelly) and Tim (Michele Jackson); his grandchildren, Emily Madelyn (Zach Miller), Christopher and Natalie; his daughter Katherina Schlichtherle; his sisters, Bonnie Landmesser (Dave), Betty Strominger, Debbie Thompson and Cheri Johnson; and his parents-in-law, Beth Jacobs (Mike), Dan Samluck (Brenda), Donna Gray (Mike) and Dave Samluck (Patti). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his honor to the Mid-Atlantic Turtle and Tortoise Society (matts-turtles.org/support) or to the USO.
