He is survived by: his child Charlanne Reed Hertz; his son-in-law Jay Hertz; his brother Marion S. Reed (Patricia); his nibling Brook; his grandchildren, Jason Hertz (Andrea), Tommy Hertz (Carrington), Sam Hertz (Luane), Brandy Reed (Robert Guy), Whitney Matthews (Travis) and Kristy Irvine (Sean); and his great grandchildren, Carson, Jackson Hertz, Amelia and Clayton.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church (44078 St Andrews Church Rd, California, MD 20619). A burial will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at the Charles Memorial Gardens (26325 Point Lookout Rd, Leonardtown, MD 20650).
