He was predeceased by : his parents, George Lee and Ethel Lee; his siblings, Doris Cornish, Wilson Wheatley and Lloyd Wheatley; his aunts and uncles, Norwood Wilson, Bernard Wilson, Moses Wilson, Annie Jolly and Irene Wilson; his nephew Wilson Wheatley; and his niece Charlene Green.

He is survived by : his wife Sarah Sampson; his stepchildren, Wilbur Sampson of Cordova, Deanna Milligan (Craig) of Bryan's Road, Tanya Jackson (Mark) and Karen Sampson of Cambridge, Maryland; and his grandchildren, Monte Sampson Dayonte Sampson (Denise), Denee Sampson and Courtney Milligan. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
