She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whitmore and Dorothy Whitmore; her brother John Whitmore Jr.; her sister-in-law Ruby Whitmore; her nephew Sean Whitmore; her aunts, Myrtle Fields and Isabel Atkinson; and her parents-in-law, Mary Frances Thompson and Wallace Thompson.
She is survived by: her husband George W. Thompson Jr.; her son Anthony Gomes Jr. (Grace); her grandchildren, Ken and Gomes; her sisters-in-law, Patricia White (Douglas) and Bertha Barnett (Vincent); her uncle Robert H. Jones; her nephew Pashal Whitmore; her nieces, Kisha Whitmore, Ebony Gant (Mike), Kristen Whitmore, Ashley Stowers (Lee) and Sydney Dorsey-Wiggins (Anthony); and her close friends, Pat Belton, Judy Bohannon, Doris Mason, Sandra Bowman and Shayne Ivey. She is also survived by great nieces, nephews, cousins.
