He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Clarence Rue and Bessie Webster Rue. He is survived by: his wife Frances Rue of Cambridge; his children, John R. Rue, Jr. (Brenda) of Church Creek and Michele Hurley (Rob) of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Megan Rue (William Kaplan), Josh Hurley, Jake Hurley and Justin Hurley; his great grandchild Kolton Kaplan; and his stepsister Susan Meredith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
