She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Smith and Ruby Smith. She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Allen; her sons, Robert J Allen IV (Laura Allen) of Crozet, VA and Dr. Patrick H Allen (Michelle Allen) of Cambridge, MD.; and her grandchildren, Mason, Lila of Crozet, VA, Kaylee and Kellan of Cambridge, MD..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Boxer Rescue, Christ Episcopal Church, or American Cancer Society.
