He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Marie Butler and James Edward Wilson; his siblings, Leon Wilson, Avon Wilson, Morris Wilson, James Wilson, Catherine Frazier and Leah Thomas; his children, Anthony Walters and Kim Walters Robbins; and his grandson Anbarti Ross Walters.

He is survived by: his great grandchild Ariyana; his wife Teresa A. Wilson; his children, Dwight Wilson (Tehara), William Wilson Jr., James Wilson, Eric Pierce (Nikki), Marlisa Freeman, Shenetta Conyer and Bonita Greene (John); and his siblings, Aker Wilson (Joan) and Martha Stanford. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, and a host of great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the New Life Christian Church (923 Phillips St, Cambridge, MD 21613).
