He was predeceased by: his parents, Barbara Jean Holt and Joseph E. Holt, Jr.; and his brother Adrian Holt. He is survived by: his children, Demetri Holt and DeAdria Holt; his stepson Derric Castro; his goddaughter Kandi David; his sisters, Jacqueline Holt-Doe (Hastings) and Carolyn Holt; his nieces, Marquisa (Oladipo), Akilah, Amauni and Okera; his great-nephews, Caleb and Jordan; and his aunts, Yvonne Summers, Gladys Whitmyer-Taylor, Linda Clarke (James), Olivia Holt Edwards and Mary Whitmyer. He is also survived by cousins, extended relatives and friends.
