She was predeceased by: her mother Janey Mae Collins; her husband Donald Eugene Barrett; and her daughter Terri. She is survived by: her siblings, Raymond, Freddie, Otis, Arstale and Bazine; her children, Vivian, Arthur, Donta, Karen, Donald Jr., Patricia, Kelvin and Kevin; her children-in-law, Thomas Reynolds, Bheti Cheeks and Deborah Barrett; and her grandchildren, Shaniqua, Shantia, James, Christian, Shamaria, Lavonda, Sharonda, Barbara Anne, Shakira and Noah.
