He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwyn Schwartz and Laverne Schwartz (Nee Palm); and his brother Gerald. He is survived by: his wife Milagros Madelaine Pella Schwartz; his children, Alan Schwartz Ocio (Lorraine Barrabee), Rodolfo Ocio (Noemi Ocio), Jessica Casdin (Chris Casdin) and Jennifer Schwartz; his stepchildren, Paola Castillo Pella (Steven Johnston) and Carlo Castillo Pella; and his pet Alessio Schwartz.
