We are sad to announce that, on March 27, 2025, at the age of 76, William George Schammel (Catonsville, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Earl Schammel, Sr. and Bernice Mae Middleditch; and his half-brother Wayne H. Palmer. He is survived by: his daughter Alicia Marie Wilmes; his son-in-law Kieran; his grandsons, Brendan, Miles and Xavier Wilmes; his brother John E. Schammel, Jr.; his sister-in-law Sandy; his half-sister Patricia Schammel; and his former spouse Heide Schammel.
His last trip to the movie theater was with his daughter to see The Rise of Skywalker at the beginning of 2020 before the pandemic started, when he was already in Assisted Living.
On Thursday, March 27, 2025, William G. "Bill" Schammel died at the age of 76 after a 10-year battle with Parkinson's and a 15-year battle with heart disease.
