It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annette Vredneburg McCarthy of Centreville, Maryland, who passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Carlton Vredenburg Sr. and Ida Frances Wiesel Hiller; and her stepfather George Eugene "Gene" Hiller. She is survived by: her husband James K. "Jim" McCarthy of Centreville; her children, Michael Preddy (Jill) of Gordonsville, VA, Melissa McCarthy of Centreville and Erin McCarthy of Centreville; her grandchildren, Justin Preddy and Chase Preddy; her great grandchildren, James, Penelope and Luke Preddy; and her siblings, Albert Vredenburg Jr. (Bonnie), Adelaide Ralston, Art Vredenburg (Tammy), Adrienne Alexander, Alexis Hensley (Don), Andy Hiller (Gerry), Amanda Stephens, Jeff Hiller, Anthony Hiller (Wendy) and Adam Hiller (April). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
