He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Caporin and May Caporin; his former life partner Karlie; his son Robert Allen Caporin; and his granddaughter Tara Leigh Burton.

He is survived by : his wife Harriet Carroll; his children, Sue Simmons (Jon) and Rick Caporin (Heather); his stepchildren, Mark Carroll (Karen) and Michaele Ann Graves (John); his grandchildren, Michael Graves (Abigal), Matthew Graves (Laura), James Edward Simmons (Morgan), Robert Simmons, Sabrina, Madison, Lilah, Camden and Violet Caporin; and his great grandchildren, Macy, Crosby Graves, Emma, Olivia and Owen Edward Simmons.
