We announce the death of Edwin D. Cook Sr. (Centreville, Maryland), who passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 95. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Cook, Sr. and Lillian Louise Covington Cook; his wife Lequinta Joy Cook; and his brothers, William Henry Cook, Jr. and Howard T. Cook, Sr..

He is survived by: his children, E. D. Cook, Jr., Libby Cook Walls (Dallas) and Lisa Cook; his grandchildren, Michael Cook (Jessica), Kristal Abrams (Matt), Shannon Hampton (Sean) and Jaime Lewis (Aaron); and his great grandchildren, Sydney Cook, Morgan Cook, Luke Abrams, Vada Abrams, Sawyer Abrams, Dallas Hampton and Case Hampton.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Price Bethany United Methodist Church (1131 Price Station Rd, Church Hill, MD 21623). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 12:15 PM at the Chesterfield Cemetery (406 S Liberty St, Centreville, MD 21617).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jeff Davis American Legion in Centreville.
