It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Jarboe Baxter (Centreville, Maryland), who passed away on January 22, 2026, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Wilson M. Jarboe and Evelyn Sinclair Jarboe; her husband John Wesley Ruth Jr.; her sister Sylvia J. Gannon; her children, Jason Ruth (Gretchen) and Kathryn McAllister (Patrick); her grandchildren, John Ruth, Lillian Ruth, Sophie Ruth, Ella McAllister and Wesley McAllister; and her sister Sondra Bentley. She was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
