It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathleen Marie Lyon of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, who passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William D. "Bill" Lyon; her son James W. "Wally" Lyon; her granddaughter Tara L. Lyon; and her children, Sally L. Therres (James), William R. "Robby" Lyon (Deborah), Scott D. Lyon (Kendra) and Cecilia C. "Cece" Owens. She was also cherished by her fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the College of Southern Maryland Foundation in support of the Cathleen and William "Bill" Lyon Memorial Scholarship, honoring Kitty's enduring commitment to faith, family, and future generations.
