He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Portnoy and Sadye Portnoy; his wife Paula Fox Portnoy; and his sister Miriam Selman. He is survived by: his children, Susan Raps (Eric) of San Rafael, Diane Lee Portnoy of San Francisco and Ralph Portnoy (Janice) of Hollywood, Maryland.; his grandchildren, Natalie Farren (Doug), Jacob Portnoy and Elena Portnoy; and his great grandchild Wyatt Farren.
