She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cooper and Grace Cooper. She is survived by: her daughter Genae Douglas; her husband Frederick Gregg; her son Gheo Smith; her son-in-law Jason Douglas; her grandchildren, Jeremiah Smith, Quincy Douglas and Langston Douglas; and her sister Doris L. Cooper. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Covenant Baptist Church (3845 S Capitol St SW, Washington, DC 20032). A burial will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
