She is survived by : her husband John S. Helms; her daughter Lorraine Pellegrino (Rich); her grandson RJ; and her siblings, Peggy Vaughn (Donald) of Arizona, Barbara Maisonneuve (Lucien) of Virginia, Terri Allen (Donald) of Maryland, Karen Clayton of West Virginia and John Clayton (Tina) of Maryland.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rausch Funeral Home-Owings (8325 Mt Harmony Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A memorial service was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Loveless Building (919 Walnut Ave, North Beach, MD 20714).
