Rita Mae McDermid Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on October 5, 2023, at the age of 88, Rita Mae McDermid of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joseph Hanfman and Marjorie Hanfman (McFadden); her husbands, Percy Grierson and Donald McDermid; her children, Raymond Grierson of North Beach, Deborah Benton (Craig) of West Virginia, Edward "Eddie" Grierson of North Beach, Nancy Grierson Baker (Matthew) of Westerville, OH and Veronica "Ronnie" Grierson Oursler (Mark) of North Beach; and her niece Jennifer Mister. She was also cherished by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one on the way, and two great-great-grandchildren.
