It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Rose Brooks of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, who passed away on January 3, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Macie O'Dell (Presson) and Robert Newton O'Dell; her husband James M. Brooks; her sister Joanne Secrist; and her grandson Joseph Brooks.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Thomas O'Dell; her children, James Brooks of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland., Belinda Simms of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland., Dawn Gibson of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. and John Brooks of Chesapeake Beach, Maryland.; and her grandchildren, Wayne Simms Jr., David Simms, Chelsea Simms, Jeffrey Gibson Jr. and Preston James Gibson.
