As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elridge Hardesty and Mildred Hardesty (Hance); and his wife Barbara Ann Hardesty. He is survived by: his daughters, April Daniels (Lennie) of Huntingtown and Jennifer Myers (Sam) of Shippensburg, PA; and his stepdaughters, Christina Boswell (Melvin) of Chesapeake Beach and Theresa McGuire (Zachary) of Owings. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rausch Funeral Home-Owings (8325 Mt Harmony Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Life Celebration Service (8536 Bayside Rd, Chesapeake Beach, MD 20732).
