She was predeceased by: her parents, John David Hurd and Helen Hurd (Maslin); her husband Albert W. Dawkins; her son William Thomas Dawkins; and her brothers, John David Hurd Jr. and Charles Edward Hurd.
She is survived by: her children, Christopher Dawkins (Amy) and Marie Meeks (Tom); her grandchildren, Jordan Dawkins, Justin Dawkins (Kylei), Megan Meeks and Tommy Meeks; her great grandchild Drue Dawkins; and her sister Mary Grussing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to the Animal Care Shelter of Kent County, 10168 Worton Road, Chestertown, MD 21620.
