She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Ortlepp and Kathe Ortlepp (Hohn); and her husband Bruce Black. She is survived by: her children, Kathrin Black, Kristina Learch and Stephen Black; her brother Reiner Ortlepp; her nephew Phillip Ortlepp; her niece Hanna Noor; her grandchildren, Alexandra Gray, Aiden Learch and Claire Learch; and her great grandchild Kit Alexander Gray.
