He was predeceased by: his father Samuel R. Nickerson, Sr.; his wife Terry Nickerson; and his brothers, S. Robert Nickerson, Jr. and Wayne Nickerson. He is survived by: his children, Richard Dickie Nickerson, Jr. (Beverly) of Chestertown and Amy Nickerson (Beefalo) of Rock Hall, MD; his grandchildren, Mary'Emmie'Nickerson (Will), Madison Anne Hanyok, Elizabeth, Ellie Legg, Madeline'Maddie'Legg and Bennett Allan Dulin (Robin Dulin); and his great grandchildren, Erin and BJ.
