Theodore Holt Chase Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Theodore Holt Chase (Chestertown, Maryland), born in Springfield, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 17, 2025 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Helene Holt Chase and Theodore Martin Chase. He is survived by: his wife Barbara "Bobbie" Van Vleck Chase; his children, Eliza Chase Morton (Mark) of Centreville, Delaware, Theodore Van Vleck Chase (Katie) of Trumbull, Connecticut and Susannah Chase Sutley (Stuart) of Stevenson, Maryland; and his brother Robert Carroll Chase of Springfield, Virginia. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Presbyterian Church of Chestertown in Chestertown, Maryland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Ted Chase to Washington College (http://www.washcoll.edu) to support an annual dinner for business management students, continuing his legacy of civic engagement and leadership.
