He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Marvel and Martha Mae Marvel; his wife Mary Webb Marvel; and his brothers, Roy, Donald and Charles Marvel.

He is survived by: his children, Deborah Davis and Tom Marvel (Pam); his grandchildren, Tara Peace (Will), Martin Davis (Katie) and Brooke Mulford (Trevor); his great grandchildren, Hayden, Drew Davis, Hill, Carson Peace, Hayes and Tripp Mulford; and his friend Hugo Torres.

Viewing was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen (118 W Cross St, Galena, MD 21635). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at the Still Pond Cemetery.
