DeVier Pierson Jr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of DeVier Pierson Jr. of Chevy Chase, Maryland, who passed away on April 21, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his father W. DeVier Pierson; his children, Jeffrey Pierson, Elizabeth Frost Sainty and Stephen Pierson; his grandchildren, George Sainty, Alexander Pierson, Julian Sainty, Clara Pierson, Lucy McGraw-Pierson and Arabella Sainty; and his extended family Estela Urquizu.

He served for ten years as a Trustee of the University of Oklahoma Foundation and received the Oklahoma Regents' Award for establishing a Pierson Professorship there.
