With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janet Verner Platt Lambert of Chevy Chase, Maryland, who passed away on May 11, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Janet departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Janet. Though Janet may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Marc Platt and Eugene Lambert; and her stepdaughter Kathryn. She is survived by: her stepchildren, Kenneth and Jocelyn; and her grandsons, Seth Gramers and Abram Davidson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Temple Beth Ami (14330 Travilah Rd, Rockville, MD 20850). A burial will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at the King David Memorial Gardens (7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042). For information about Shiva, please contact the family.
