It is with sadness that the passing of Janet Langenderfer (Chevy Chase, Maryland) is shared. Janet, born on May 17, 1956, passed away on August 5, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Janet will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Janet by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Janet is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Janet’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her father Stuart Schwartz. She is survived by: her husband Tom Langenderfer; her mother Marylin Schwartz; and her sisters, Francine Freedman, Shelley Miller, Debbie Tipton and Nancy Gusman. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
