With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Smilow of Chevy Chase, Maryland, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on October 9, 2025 at the age of 87. In the sacred silence of farewell, Michael is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Smilow and Anna Smilow. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Goodhart Smilow; and his children, David (Tracey), Lisa Smilow Opsahl (Michael) and Marc (Jill).
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Remembrance Memorial Chapel (14321 Comus Rd, Clarksburg, MD 20871).
