He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Ellen Bitler and Charles E. "Mike" Bitler; and his sisters, Nora Jean Bitler and Janet Lee Bitler. He is survived by: his daughter Karen Lynn Bitler of Walkersville, MD.; his brothers, Charles R. "Bobby" Bitler (Virginia) and Mark D. Bitler (Topper); his niece Lori Bitler Pappas; his great-nephews, Blake Bitler and Holden Pappas; and his pet Cooley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Keeney & Basford Funeral Homes (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Homes (106 E Church St, Frederick, MD 21701).
